Experience true South African hospitality on a working citrus farm. Hearty breakfasts are served on the veranda overlooking the beautiful garden with its lush shrubbery. Sample Nita's homemade jams and preserves as well as freshly squeezed orange juice during the citrus season. Nita enjoys treating guests to homemade meals using only the freshest vegetables, fruit, and herbs from the garden. Alternatively, on a warm summer evening, traditional braais and potjies can be enjoyed around the fire.
Guests are encouraged to take a walk around the farm and to enjoy country living. For the less energetic, a day spent on the sun-loungers around the swimming pool is a good way to take a break between game viewing.

Beautiful surroundings and peaceful - grass green lawns with roses. Very friendly owners. Well located if you want to visit Addo Park. The unit was clean and tidy and there was a nice braai area.
We only stayed one night and would have liked to stay longer. Happy Lands Farmstay is a beautiful place to stay from the beautiful and comfortable rooms to the beautiful gardens and friendly dogs! We will definitely stay there again when we visit the area.
We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. We could walk around the yard among the beautiful greenery and pets. Enjoyed the visit very much.
We will definitely stay there again. But preferably much longer. One night just wasn't enough!
Happy Lands is about 15 minutes' journey from Addo National Park. Lovely place to stay with swimming pool breakfast and braai facilities. Great cool rooms for the hot December season.
The accommodation is so stylishly furnished. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The gardens are stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We are very sorry we could not stay longer. Happy Lands will see us again for sure.

Very neat accommodation. No problems. Nice warm sleep. Sorry there is no biscuit with the coffee. There was a can, but it was empty.
Not a B&B - no breakfast although advertised. No dinners as advertised. No room service. We did not want self catering. Nearest shop was 40 km away in Paterson. A lonely place - we left a day earlier.
Happy Lands is a bit isolated and belongs to a citrus farm. That is why a three-course dinner is offered on the site, which is recommendable. It is also a good base for excursions to Addo Elephant Park an other sights. The owners keep four dogs that loiter around the guesthouse all day. If you don't like dogs, better go elsewhere.

So peaceful and quiet, even though they were busy with renovations. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't recommend to someone who doesn't appreciate peace and quiet.
Mike and Nita go to great lengths to make their guests feel welcome. Their place is beautiful with clean rooms and bedding. We had the most delicious breakfasts. Our children felt at home and their environment is child-friendly. We would recommend Happy Lands anytime.
Very pleasant stay and hospitality - only the last part of the dirt road was very bad. The rooms are nice and spacious and the breakfast very good.
Dogs could be an issue for some people.
Room wonderfully large and comfortable. Missed a TV. The dust path not so pleasant but acceptable. Had a great stay and will visit again.
No cupboards & a see through door on the shower/toilet, although otherwise attractively decorated. Off the beaten track down a dirt road that needs grading.
It's very tasteful, the hosts are pleasant and the facilities stylish and comfortable. We slept well without any disturbances. The car was safely locked and bolted. Breakfast on the stoep is blissful and the view very beautiful.
The management was very hospitable and helpful. Parking is quite limited, especially if you also have a trailer. We would like to have a TV in the room. A heater would also have helped for the cold nights. Power was out in the whole area one morning - candles or lamp would have helped if it was in the room. We had to finish with the mobile phone's light and pack. It was a little inconvenient, but otherwise we were very satisfied.
What a wonderful getaway, so close to Addo. After a day viewing elephants we found Happy Lands B&B was a great place to return to and relax with excellent food. Mike and Nita are truly fantastic. Definitely will return.
The view unbelievable - service couldn't be better, and those delicious homemade "preserves" "to die for". They will definitely see us again!
Happy Lands is charming and super affordable and we will definitely recommend it to others! If Addo cant accommodate you then this is the place to stay! Just annoyed at myself for not purchasing a pocket of their famous oranges. A complimentary small bowl/"tasting sample" in the rooms would have been appreciated - thank you Mike, we had a very brief but super pleasant stay!
